PROJECT / PRESSROOM
Pressroom
Pressroom is the quiet kind of ambitious: it makes a messy editorial pipeline feel operational enough that mistakes have nowhere to hide.
A publishing control center for moving PageRangers articles into WordPress with validation, SEO, review, uploads, comments, and recovery.
ACTUAL PROMPT / THREAD TRACE
Continue from the latest checkpoint for the Pressroom CMS platform.
WHY IT MATTERS
The work is not about having another dashboard. It is about giving every article a clear next action, a validation trail, and a safe WordPress path.
HOW TO READ THIS
Each entry is a dated design decision: the pain point, the response, the proof source, and the visual artifact when the archive had one.

DATED JOURNEY
DATE INDEXThe pipeline became visible
The article queue needed to show the next action in under three seconds.
Pressroom started from a simple pain: moving articles through PageRangers, formatting, validation, SEO, WordPress upload, and review had too many invisible failure points.
The 21 artboards gave each hidden state a screen: queue, overview, SEO, structure, upload, diff, comments, failures, roles, and logs.
MASTER_CONTEXT and visual QA contact sheets from CMSContent.

Upload became a guarded act
A publish button is not a button. It is a contract.
Pressroom treats WordPress upload as a sequence with formatting checks, SEO metadata, source links, validation, and readback.
The product thinking is sharp: do not hide risk behind a green button. Show the operator exactly what changed and where it went.

Validation became a review surface
Good editorial software makes weak structure hard to miss.
Rules for tables, tip boxes, CTAs, headings, sources, SEO title length, and internal links became visible rows and drawers.
That is the difference between a script and a product: the operator can understand why the system is unhappy.
SEO_PANEL_RULES, VALIDATION_RULES_CATALOG, and manager SEO screenshots.

The system learned how to be continued
A good build thread leaves instructions for the next builder.
The handoff documented fetch, format, validate, upload, slug handling, CMSTEST safety, environment keys, and the remaining risks.
That is a founder workflow tell: the system is not only built, it is made resumable.

Cost articles entered the control center
The pipeline widened from single articles to article families.
Cost-article imports, repairs, inventories, and Pressroom comments became part of the same publishing quality loop.
This is where Pressroom stopped being only a CMS UI and became operational infrastructure for a content business.
